Besides the famous Octoberfest which is being held in Munich from the 22 of September till the 7 of October, Germany can offer its tourists a long range of less promoted but not less interesting fall festivals.

So the beer festival is being held in Berlin for the 57th time. It starts on the 28th of September and finishes on the 14th of October. At Ara, Mozel and Rein this period is a time of grape gathering and young wine festivals. These festivals attract to the regions not only German but also foreign tourists. The festival “culinary fall at the Lane river” is considered one of the most colorful one and it is held within a month: from the 1st till the 31st of October. Here at the “Limburg-on-Lane” is possible to taste Hessen wines and local food of this federal place.

From the 2nd till the 15th of October in Neustadt (Reynald-Pfalz) is being held the main German festival of wine.

But in Weymar situated in Thuringen the 354 onion market – the biggest national festival of the region will be held from the 12th till the 14th of October.

From the 19th of October till the 4th of November is being held the most ancient festival of Germany – the Bremen market. First time it took place 950 years ago and is considered the most national celebration of the southern Germany.

Germany is not the only European country where in Autumn a lot of festivals and celebrations are held. This is actually a strong touristic season for this country.

Vacations are always interesting and most people look forward to their vacation and even to planning their vacation. The planning can certainly be difficult and challenging but it can also be fun. You can find many places to go and to see and things to do almost anywhere you choose to go on vacation to. You and the children can easily take a dip in the indoor or outdoor pool and then move on to water sports at the beach or the lake or whatever the water option might be. Family resorts have a certain appeal for that very reason. The benefit for kids is that there is plenty of things to do. You’ve scored the interview and now contemplating what to wear! It doesn’t have to be a painful process – just start with a few practical steps. First do your research on the company and its environment. The easiest tip is to call the company’s receptionist and ask what the dress code is during the week. But remember that if you are told its “Casual Dress” doesn’t mean to take it to extreme either (keep the sweats and tennis shoes in the closet). You still want to present yourself professionally so “Casual” would mean Business Casual – or in other words a suit isn’t necessary. For women it could mean a skirt and blouse. Or slacks and a sweater. For men, slacks and a collared button-up or polo-type shirt, adding a jacket (no tie).

For more formal interview settings, here are the tips for both Men and Women:

Men should wear a simple, dark suit that fits properly. Try on the suit in advance of the interview day to make sure it still fits. If not, you’ll need to replace it. The suit should be pressed – not wrinkled. This is the same for the soft colored shirt. Stay conservative – this is not the time to pull out the holiday ties or brightly colored shirts. Socks and shoes, black or brown, should be polished. Dusty or dirty shoes can ruin the whole look. A belt is a smart finishing touch, especially if you are in a position to remove the suit jacket. And avoid strong cologne – very annoying to an interviewer.

Women should also consider a suit or a skirt and jacket and it should fit well – not too tight. The blouse should definitely not be skimpy or revealing. You want the interviewer to look you in the eyes, not elsewhere. The skirt should be long enough for when you sit in a chair you are not showing too much skin. Keep in mind you might remove your jacket, so be sure the outfit is fitting properly. Stockings and sensible shoes – no platforms or stilettos. Limit your jewelry – noisy dangles are very distracting. Furthermore, ladies, makeup should be as natural as possible and leave off the perfume.

Before you put on the clothes, let’s start with hygiene and personal grooming. Be sure to shower, wash your hair and use deodorant. May seem simple to most, but some might think it would be ok to roll out of bed and into clothes. Make sure your hands are clean and your fingernails manicured. The first impression comes with the introductory handshake. A watch is a smart accessory as it states you care about time management.

If you eat or drink something just before the interview, make sure you brush your teeth, use mouthwash, and carry a breath mint in your pocket.

If you are not able to confirm that the dress code is casual, then you should opt for dressing professionally. The first impression is so critically important. It is better to over dress then to under dress. Layout all your clothing items the night before so you are ready to Successfully Dress for your interview.
